So last Summer was a return to a venue that I have performed at many many times in the past, and it’s a venue I highly recommend taking a look at.
I have fond memories from doing the Wedding of Chris Moyles’s BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show Sidekick, David Vitty aka Comedy Dave. That really was a fun day with guests including Vernon Kay, Tess Daly and the Girls, Saraj Cox , and probably the funniest best man speech ever from Chris Moyles himself!
Well last summer it was all about Alex & Ricky.
I actually did the Wedding of one of Alex and Ricky’s guests, so the booking was actually a recommendation.
The ceremony took place on the manicured lawns next to The River Thames with the music played beautifully through my Bose Full Front of House PA so that the music was not only heard, but felt as Alex was walked down the aisle by her father Barry.
I have a heck of a lot of experience in playing the music for ceremonies and when done correctly, the music plays a massive part in enhances the ‘Emotions’ of this most special occasion. (I won’t tell you how many people within the Wedding industry fail to understand this concept).
Following the Ceremony it was time for the Alex and Ricky’s Friends and Family to enjoy the Riverside views for the Champagne 🍾 Reception. Working with Alex and Ricky I hand picked a playlist of a beautiful selection of music to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
At 3:45pm we organised a Grand Entrance into the Riverside Marquee for Alex and Ricky, who were warmly greeted via cheers and handkerchiefs waving in the air from their guests to the sounds of Kayne West - All Of The Lights.
After introducing the Speeches it was time for everybody to enjoy the Wedding Breakfast (called Breakfast as it’s the first meal shared with friends as a married couple)
The Evening went smoothly with the First Dance to a beautiful Acoustic treat from Jac Ross - So Into You. Followed by Father and Daughter dance to another song from Jac Ross - Angel Of Mine, however this had a twist where we mixed it into Silento’s - Watch Me (Whip / Nae Nae) where all of the young Bridesmaids joined Alex and Barry onto the dance floor for a choreographed dance routine!
What a great way to start the evening Dancing.
The evening party flew by with lots of dancing, fun and laughter.
Below are a few photos to share some of the day with you all.
Once again, congratulations to Alex and Ricky 🥂
